Woods Hole Research Center Launches New Website

June 1, 2010

The Woods Hole Research Center has re-launched its website, www.whrc.org.

According to William Brown, President and CEO of WHRC, "The new site is visually compelling and informative, and gives the Center a place on the Web with sophistication matching the work we do."

The June 1 re-launch coincides with the Center’s Board of Director’s Annual Meeting and with the Center’s 25th Anniversary.

Additional pages and features, including virtual exhibitions and photo galleries of field sites from around the world, will be added in the coming months.

The website is the product of a year-long process that addressed both the visual qualities desired on the new site and the information infrastructure needed to easily guide visitors to their topics of interest.

The Center engaged Boston Interactive, for the design portion of the process.

“We’re confident that the site’s new dynamic and redesign will engage users, help raise awareness, and educate the public,” says Jim Keller, Vice President of Boston Interactive, who worked closely with the Center staff during the development process.
